TERROIR:
NEUSIEDLER SEE - BURGENLAND (AUSTRIA)
The Münzenrieder winery is located in the middle of the Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel National Park. Through natural cultivation, rigorous yield restrictions and careful cellar management, winemakers Johann and Johannes Münzenrieder create concentrated wines with a typical regional note and enormous intensity.
The fruitiness and concentration of the Sämling, Welschriesling, and Grüner Veltliner grape varieties make them ideal for producing Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese, and Icewines typical of the region, which is characterised by a harmonious combination of sweetness and acidity with the fruity components of the wine. Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and cuvées of Zweigelt, Cabernet Franc and Merlot are also produced. However, the Münzenrieder family is also devoting more and more energy to dry white wines, which are vinified in steel tanks as well as small wooden barrels
